There is really nothing quite like the feel of custom-made clothing. It used to be that one had to spend incredible amounts of money to be able to enjoy the luxuries of clothing made to fit no one other than oneself. Those days are gone, thanks to the incredible value of Astor & Black Custom Clothiers. The suits are second to none. Any imaginable feature is included in the price of the suit: functional buttonholes on sleeves (surgeon cuffs), pick-stitching, Bemberg silk linings from conservative to outlandish, button-flies, slide tabs, bull-horn buttons, your choice of jacket vent style, suit cut... once again, the list goes on.

The suits are all fully canvassed, rather that fused or glued, meaning the fabric is draped over a canvass cut to the contours of one's body that the suit fabric "floats" over, allowing the suit to form to the body. Many suits (even some made by Armani!) are constructed by gluing (or "fusing") the outer cloth to stiffer fabrics to give form. Over time, or when the suit gets wet, the fabrics can separate and the glue can bubble and ripple (at this point the fused suit is ruined).

I learned something new about today's legal system - apparently it isn't a crime to hold someone hostage for 4 hours. I suppose if I went for five I could have landed into trouble. Once you are introduced to custom clothing, you say to yourself, "Why was I ever buying off the peg?" David Watkins of Astor and Black helps you to develop your own style. My new threads are amazing - I will say that I am officially "proud to own my first custom made suit". You are welcome to quote me and to use my reflections in any of your marketing, or your individual efforts for Astor & Black. I reiterate my comments and expand with the following. As an attorney that meets with the very finest trained and well dressed attorney's in Boston's federal and state courts I have been in the company of well dressed professionals. I have always prided myself on maintaining my physical appearance with fitness and being mindful of the trends in clothing. With great delight I finally followed up on purchasing a custom made suit. Actually, I purchased three custom made suits and 6 custom made shirts. I also received three fine ties and ordered a pair of cuff links and shoes. The entire process was liberating. It started a year ago. I was at Barns and Noble and looked through the Black Book magazine that men my age and background tend to glance at. I was flipping through the pages thinking of how nice it was to pay off that heavy student loan that got me through law school, and how fitting it would be to buy that Porche Cayenne that I saw in the lot that I drive by so often. Then on the next page I saw this really good ad for Astor & Black, custom made suits. With an even greater sense of "finally making it" I called the number to see where I could go to get the suit off that page put on my back. To my delight David Morra contacted me with a very courteous and upbeat tone. We scheduled a consultation at "my office" at "my convenience" and the rest is history. David showed up on time and knowing more about the parking and area than me and it was my office. He brought the required items to show me how truly custom these suits would be. I was patiently guided through the process and made to believe (and I trust this belief) that this guy David was going to be my goto guy for my future suits. After our first meeting he had my custom measurements my style, and my personality down. Within the time that he told me I had the suits and orders fulfilled. I am now proudly strutting through the Boston streets in some fine suits. Astor & Black has provided me with a service. I'm an attorney that benefits in great ways by looking the part and it is a difficult part to play. A&B has captured that image in its marketing efforts and I hope that I am one of the men that their image was meant to target. One level deeper in that service is the need of A&B to have employees, or agents that can deliver that image to men like me in a way that we can then make a part of our permanent style.
